Rules for using QRCodePlus websites, generators, scanners, and guides.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of QRCodePlus at qrcodeplus.net and related tools (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

QRCodePlus provides free online tools to generate and scan QR codes and barcodes, along with educational guides and use cases. Features may change, expand, or be discontinued without notice. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Eligibility and accounts

Public generators and scanners do not require registration. Administrative access is restricted to authorized operators. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to distribute malware, phishing links, spam, or illegal content through generated codes.
  • Encode destinations that infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties.
  • Attempt to bypass security, scrape the Service aggressively, or disrupt servers or other users.
  • Misrepresent QRCodePlus or imply endorsement by brands shown in your own marketing materials.
  • Use scanners or automation to harvest personal data without lawful basis and consent.
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law explicitly permits it.

Your content and responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The data you encode — URLs, WiFi passwords, GTINs, contact details, and barcode values.
  • Compliance with retailer, GS1, marketplace, and industry rules for barcodes and product labels.
  • Laws applicable to your campaigns — including marketing, telecommunications, and privacy regulations.
  • Testing physical proofs on real devices before mass printing or packaging runs.

QRCodePlus does not verify that your GTINs are properly assigned, that your URLs are safe, or that your labels meet a specific retailer’s artwork specification.

Intellectual property

The QRCodePlus name, site design, guides, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for lawful personal and commercial purposes. Generated QR and barcode images produced from your own data belong to you, subject to any third-party rights in embedded logos or trademarks you upload.

Trademarks and third-party brands

Symbology names (EAN, UPC, Code 128, etc.) and third-party trademarks referenced in guides belong to their respective owners. QRCodePlus is not affiliated with GS1, phone manufacturers, or retailers unless explicitly stated.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CODES WILL SCAN IN EVERY ENVIRONMENT, THAT CHECK DIGITS MATCH EVERY PARTNER SYSTEM, OR THAT DOWNLOADED FILES MEET A SPECIFIC PRINT SPEC WITHOUT YOUR OWN PROOFING.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QRCODEPLUS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $50 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM — WHICH IS $0 FOR FREE TOOL USE.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QRCodePlus from claims arising out of your encoded content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Links to other sites

Generated QR codes and site content may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for external sites, their privacy practices, or their content.

Termination

We may suspend or block access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or posed a security risk. Provisions that by nature should survive — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where QRCodePlus is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country may still apply where they cannot be waived.

Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top indicates the latest version. Material changes may be noted on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
